It’s different from the example above because you’re not claiming to have done any research, like “love what you’re doing.” It’s intentionally plain, which gives it an authentic feel. For it to be successful, you need to have an optimized LinkedIn profile.

2. Targeted Message: In a targeted message, you address that you’re looking to connect with others within your industry.
Hi {first_name},
I am looking to connect and hear from {X} leaders in the {X} space, can we connect?
3. Personalized Message: This type of message can be something specific that you picked from your prospect’s LinkedIn profile, company profile, or website.
Hey {first_name},
Super specific ask here, I’m looking to connect & hear from founders of pre-series A, $30k+ deal size, B2B SaaS companies still in the founder-led sales stage.
Can we connect?
4. No-Invite Message: A no-invite message solely relies on how appealing your LinkedIn Profile is.

Remember that follow-ups are not supposed to push prospects into buying your product. Follow-ups help you to find out if you can help them solve their problems with your product.
